Fall 2019

This robe was created at my second co-op, Sew Valley. Sew Valley is a small to medium batch production facility where interested people can come to have talented people who are paid living wages, and who work in a sustainable work environment, make clothes for them and their growing brand. At Sew Valley I worked on three production jobs, as well as the installation for their annual fundraiser (more information on this can be found under Sew Valley: Fundraiser), and small jobs around the office to improve the work space, such as the robe pictured that could be used by fit models. I also created curtains that fit industrial sized building windows and installed them, along with work lights to improve lighting in the work space. I learned a lot about sewing and production at this experience, and am so grateful for Sew Valley for taking me in and allowing me to learn so much from them.
